CARIBBEAN DREAM

Caribbean Dream is a very nice fragrance it scent lasts quite awhile.

After a few wears, I realized this one just wasn’t for me. Out of the box, it was definitely the strongest “freshie” I’ve tried from Jalu, but maybe it just needed more time to macerate, I ended up trading it for something else before that could happen.

It’s a very boozy fragrance for a fresh scent, with a strong rum note that really dominates. Working in a bottle shop, I’m constantly around coconut rums like Malibu, and this smelled almost identical. The oil concentration might be a bit too heavy here, maybe if it were an EDP instead, it would be more balanced.

Longevity was impressive, it clung to clothes for days even after washing , but the scent became cloying over time, and I found myself getting tired of the rum. The main notes I picked up were a touch of lime at the top, followed quickly by creamy coconut rum. Overall, not for me, and I wouldn’t repurchase.

Too much citrus, would’ve been nice if it had more coconut and rum notes. You can only smell the coconut in small whiffs and in the dry down. Otherwise it’s a nice summer fragrance. Tried contacting them though Instagram to change the notes but got no response.

If I had to becompletely honest this felt like a bit of a waste and a let down. A friend of mine has a bottle of VIW that let me try some a few months ago. Awesome compliment getter. After anticipating something similar to that scent, I was greeted with something completely different. I have used it twice now and both times my boss has told me I smell like the cleaning agent used in our air conditioners. I've had to go back to finishing off my Tommy Bahama saint Barts set sail. I understand this is an internal review, and I won't be going and leaving any negative public reviews. Just a shame I'll have to get rid of it.
