SAFFRON SCANDAL

This is my second bottle of Santal 33, purchased last month. I allowed it to macerate for a month in a cool, dark room before using it. Unfortunately, the performance is nowhere near my first bottle.

My original bottle was strong, projected well, and lasted for hours. This second bottle is extremely weak. I can barely smell it after 5 minutes, and even immediately after spraying, the scent is very faint with almost no projection.

I have experienced a similar issue with Safran Secret. My first bottle had a beautiful woody character, whereas the second bottle is noticeably sweeter and lacks the woody depth that made me purchase it again.

I understand that handcrafted fragrances may have some batch variation, but when paying a premium price, I expect a reasonable level of consistency in both scent profile and performance. The difference between bottles is significant enough that it feels like a completely different product.

Very disappointed with the inconsistency and hope the brand addresses its quality control. look into my previous reviews

Absolutely amazing! The fragrance is exactly the same as the original—I even tried it at Mecca today and it’s a perfect match, ditto! What’s even better is that it’s longer-lasting than the original. Great job, Jalu. Super impressed with the quality, and I’ll definitely be buying again.

Visited the store itself all the way from Perth in June. Bought a couple immediately and returned the next day to buy some more. Came in hoping they had Maison Crivelli Saffran Secret and was told it was coming out the week after! Took a little longer but was worth it!

Perfume is still macerating but from what I’ve smelled, it smells legit. Hoping it gets stronger but if not, I’m still happy. Hopefully I can request my next bottle to be stronger — is that possible ? because I’m buying another either way ;)

Smells very close to the original.
